- Selected Professional Accomplishments: Tom Edwards began his career at Herman Miller, Inc. in various designing positions. He then established his own company, Design Allegro, in 1986. His clients include Teknion, Light Corp., Nucraft, Trendway, United Chair, Haworth, Wieland, Knoll, Harter, Herman Miller and The Art Institute of Chicago. He has received numerous awards, the most recent being Best of Neocon Show: Silver/Leverage System (Teknion), 2000; Best of L.A. Design Week: Tympani Tables (Nucraft), 1999; IDEA Award: Improv Chair (Haworth), 1995.
- The September 1999 issue of “Interiors and Sources” magazine featured Tom as the cover story. The story dealt with his professional work and that of his students at Kendall who were prominently showcased in the issue. He is an active member and a past Vice Chairperson of the Michigan Chapter of IDSA.
