KCAD seeks to build a culture of trust among students, faculty, staff and administration through improved communication, transparency, and collaboration. This includes intentionally programing existing social, academic, and exhibition spaces to foster intellectual and creative collaboration and community.
KCAD seeks to develop a stronger relationship with alumni by creating improved communication, opportunities to celebrate alumni, enhancing alumni specific events, and enhancing opportunities for alumni to connect with current students.
KCAD seeks to continue to enhance its civic presence and visibility through projects and partnerships with local and regional industry, business, cultural institutions and educational institutions and by welcoming the community to the KCAD campus.
KCAD seeks to develop deeper, stronger and more integrated relationships among its constituent parts: Ferris State University, Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, Design West Michigan, and the Wege Center for Sustainable Design.
