Software Available for Purchase Through Kendall College of Art and Design
Kendall College of Art and Design is please to offer software to their students at a substantial discount. Through contracts with Adobe, AutoDesk and Microsoft we are able to offer the following titles/packages to our degree-seeking students:
Microsoft Software
Microsoft charges a $35.00 a year license fee to all students using their software starting with the first purchase of software. There is also a CD charge in addition to this license. The license fee will be charged to the student’s account every year they are enrolled at the college and ceases upon graduation. If a student needs Office and Windows XP the charge would be $35.00 for the license fee and the charge for each CD. If a new version is offered, the student would simply pay the CD charge since they already have the license.

Adobe Software
Adobe has redesigned their packages with their latest release – CS3. Most of the programs will only need the Design Standard Package, but the other packages offer additional programs that might be needed. If you are a sophomore or junior and do not have any software yet, you should consider the Design Premium because it includes Dreamweaver and Flash Pro. After Effects is included in the Production Premium package. If you need all of these titles (i.e. upper level Digital Media), take a look at the Master Collection. It is more expensive, but it includes all of the software offered in the other packages. This may seem like the way to go for Freshmen, but keep in mind that Adobe may release another version before you get to the class that needs the web software. All of the packages include Bridge CS3, Version Cue CS3 (not in Production Premium), Device Central CS3, Stock Photos and Acrobat Connect. You must specify Mac or PC format.

AutoDesk Software
Autodesk offers AutoCad 2008 Student Version. This is a fully featured version with the exception that it prints out with a watermark that states that the piece was created with a student version of the software. This is AutoDesk’s protection that this program will not be used for commerical purposes. Effective as of May 2008, AutoDesk is only offering AutoCad as a 13-month license.

Ordering Information
Orders may be placed through the Technology Department. All orders will be billed to the students account and a bill will be sent in the mail. Students must present their student I.D. card when picking up the software. Students will also sign an agreement stating that the software will be for their use only and that it cannot be given to anyone else, borrowed or sold. We are fortunate to have these special software prices and we do not want to do anything to jeopardize it. Please download the PDF order form below and return it to:
