AntiVirus
Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University provides antivirus protection to our students free of charge. Symantec AntiVirus is available by download from the Ferris State University’s AntiVirus download page. All Windows users are required to have antivirus software on their computers. This includes all Macintosh Intel laptops that have Windows XP loaded via Apple Boot Camp as well as Nova Parallel Desktop and VMWare Fusion. Macintosh OSX users are encouraged to use antivirus software as well. Although it has been many years (over 10) since the last Macintosh virus, with the increasing popularity of this computer/operating system, it is conceivable that the Macintosh operating system may become more of a target in the future.
Windows Users (including Windows on Macintosh)
After clicking on the link below, select Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.1.5.5000 Install (the last one). You must be in Windows XP and using Internet Explorer to use this download page.
Macintosh Users (Mac OSX side only)
After clicking on the link below, select the Macintosh Users under the STS Areas Connecting to the Internet in the Resident Halls. You must be in Mac OSX. Go to the section on Symantec Corporate Edition. Please do not download Clean Access, it does not apply to Kendall students.
