When should I apply to Kendall?

Applying early is always a good idea. We recommend you apply as soon as you know you’re interested. But you must apply at least one month before the beginning of the semester you plan to enroll. If you’re an international student, you should apply at least six months in advance.

Choosing the right college is an important decision. That’s why we encourage you to visit and find out what it “feels” like to be a student here. Come alone, or bring a friend or parent. Do I have to visit Kendall before applying?

A visit is helpful but you don’t have come to Kendall before you apply. If you can’t make it to Grand Rapids, check out a virtual tour !

I was home schooled. Is the application process different?

No, it’s all the same. Like everyone else, you’ll need to complete an application, send in your ACT scores, and submit your high school records. You’ll find more detail here

What is an ACT/SAT? Which one does Kendall require?

The ACT and SAT are national college admission exams that test your skills and knowledge in English, mathematics, reading, and science. To be considered for admission to Kendall, you must take one of these tests. Either one is fine. For more information on the ACT or SAT, click here.

What is a GPA? How is it calculated?

Your grade point average (GPA) is the average of all grades you earned in a semester or an academic term. You can calculate your GPA by dividing your grade points (4.0 for an “A”, 3.0 for a “B”, ad so on) by the number of credits you attempted. If you have questions about your high school GPA, talk to an academic advisor at your school.

Do credits earned at other colleges count at Kendall?

How will I know if I’m accepted at Kendall?

We”ll send you a letter of acceptance in the mail.

What do I do once I’m accepted?

If you want to enroll, send us a $150 deposit (nonrefundable) to let us know of your intention and secure your place at Kendall. We’ll automatically apply that to your first semester tuition.
