Applying for Financial Aid
How to apply
We strongly encourage all of our students to apply for financial aid, regardless of their personal or family means. It’s easy. Here’s how:
- In order to be considered for financial aid, you must first be admitted to Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University.
- Get a copy of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Fill it out online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or get a copy from our Financial Aid office or from your high school counselor’s office.
- Fill out the FAFSA, making sure to include Ferris/Kendall’s federal school code number—002260—on the form. This must be on the form so that Kendall/FSU can receive your financial aid information. If you're a transfer student and you didn’t list Kendall your original FAFSA, call the Federal Student Aid Report (SAR) processor at 800.433.3243 and request that Kendall’s code number be added to your SAR.
- Submit your FAFSA to Kendall as early as possible, but no earlier than January 1 of the academic year in which you are applying. Priority consideration goes to students who apply before February 15.
If you have questions, call our Financial Aid office at 616.451.2787 or 800.676.ARTS or send us an email. We’ll be more than happy to help you through the process.
