Scholarships
Scholarship of Merit
Kendall is committed to providing scholarships to qualified students. More than $950,000 in Scholarships of Merit are awarded annually to current and new undergraduate students. Awards range from $1,000 to $6,000 per year based on full-time enrollment (12 or more credits per semester) and are renewable if the student maintains at least a 3.00 GPA and demonstrates continued artistic growth. Part-time (6-11 credits per semester) student awards are pro-rated.
Application deadline for “new students” for the academic year 2008-2009 is February 15, 2008 and must include the following:
- Six (6) images of your best work, which can be submitted via slides, CD Rom, DVD, or a Zip disk.
- One page Slide List, that corresponds to numbered slides and indicate title, medium, size, and date of completion.
- A self-addressed stamped envelope, large enough to fit slide sheet it. Without return envelope, images will not be returned.
- A completed Admissions File that includes transcripts from high school and/or college(s) previously attended, a statement of purpose, as described on the application, and portfolio review (enclosed work ok).

Art Day Scholarship Competition
Kendall’s Art Day Scholarship Competition will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Art Day Competition allows high school seniors to compete for up to $20,000 in scholarships to attend Kendall, divided equally over four years. This competition is open to students in all media including drawing, pastel, watercolor, painting, ceramics, textiles and weaving, graphic design, industrial design, furniture design, photography, and conceptual art. Kendall faculty will jury the work based on originality, concept, composition, overall craftsmanship, and understanding of the medium. Please note: we do not conduct portfolio reviews on the day of this competition.

Steps to apply:
- Return entry form to Kendall.
- Select (3) three of your best, original works.
- Put a label on the back of each work.
- Bring your work to Kendall prior to 10:00 a.m. on March 8, 2008. Drop off-time is 8:00-10:00 a.m.
- Return at 2:00 p.m. for the awards presentation. You must be present to win!
These scholarships are available only to Kendall students. Awards are disbursed based on full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours per semester) and students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 for renewal consideration.
