Types of Assistance
Every year, Kendall awards more than a million dollars in scholarships and grants. Plus our students find a great deal of scholarship money through private scholarship funds targeted toward art & design students (you can find out more about these in the respective academic degree sections of this site). Here’s a look at the major scholarship offerings.
Federal Aid Programs
Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University participates in several federally funded assistance programs designed to provide students with the means to meet their educational costs. To be considered for these programs a student must submit a Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It is important to remember that some of the funding for these programs are limited, therefore, we recommend that you file the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1.

State Financial Aid Programs
The State of Michigan offers an array of campus-based and other state programs designed to provide students, who are Michigan residents, with the means to meet their educational costs. To be considered for these programs a student must submit a Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Institutional Aid Programs
Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University has institutional sources to supplement the funds provided by the federal and state government. All types of aid including scholarships, grants and loans are provided. The funds for institutional aid come from Kendall or the University’s General Fund or from private donors, given as either gifts or bequests.
