Letter from the President
Dear Alumni Members and Friends of Kendall,

This is such an exciting time to be involved with Kendall. This year there are projects in process that will benefit the college, its student’s, alumni and our community for years to come. Disciplines will be added buildings will be acquired and Kendall will be set on a very positive course. This year your alumni board and its members have become dedicated to planning events and cultivating relationships that will aid in the success of the ongoing improvement to facilities, programs and student enrichment at Kendall.
The mission of the Kendall Alumni Board is simple, “To establish mutually beneficial relations between the College, its alumni and its students”. We strive to take this mission a step further this year by creating mutually beneficial relationships between Kendall and our community, both its leaders and the general public. By including members of our local and international communities, we believe we will begin to create a network of support and resources.
I would like to invite you to participate in this process. Kendall benefits greatly from the feedback of its alumni. Being a part of the alumni board for the past few years has been terrific for me. I am proud to serve an institution with a reputation for quality. Because I am a principal of a small design firm, I try to keep my eye out for networking opportunities. My board involvement has been great for that purpose. The many contacts that I have made through my involvement with the Kendall alumni board have become clients and mentors.
As you register for membership in the alumni association and take advantage of the job bulletin, alumni email newsletter and the alumni directory that is in progress, please consider becoming a member of the alumni board of directors. I would be happy to discuss with you the benefits of joining the alumni board of directors. Please contact me personally at (pjacobdesign@yahoo.com) or contact the alumni office (616.451.2787) to get information on association membership, board involvement or with input on current projects, programs or events. To receive all the benefits of membership to the alumni association please complete the on line application.
All best,
Peter Jacob, Furniture Design 2004
