Sara Molina

Community Service Tribute
‘03, Interior Design

Sara has passion. She has dreams and a purpose. Family means everything to Sara. The importance of providing balance between family and other relationships is a true goal in her life. When Sara is not busy working, or volunteering she is reading books, drawing with sidewalk chalk, or enjoying movies with her three beautiful children and loving husband, Albert. "They are the little lights in my life and inspire me to do my best every day," Sara says. She adds, "Without them and the support they give me I would not be the woman I am today, and would not have accomplished the many things I have been fortunate enough to accomplish."

Sara has indeed accomplished a great deal. After graduating from Kendall College of Art and Design in 2003, Sara began to rise in the ranks of Integrated Architecture, a company she has worked for since 2000. She is currently Senior Interior Designer/Senior Associate Member at this nationally known firm. Her volunteer efforts at Kendall started when she was a student and have continued through more than five years of service on Kendall's Alumni Board of Directors. Sara has held a position as the Chair Person for the Alumni Relations Committee for over three years, during which she has spearheaded events like the Beaux Arts Ball and the Distinguished Alumni Awards and worked with SiTE:LAB on a display of Kendall Alumni work. Sara has also worked with other local arts and cultural organizations including Activesite, UICA, the GR Ballet Company and Habitat for Humanity. Her dedication to the Grand Rapids community is evidenced by her most recent position as Event Coordinator with TEDxGR, a prestigious national speaker series event that will take place in Grand Rapids in May 2011.
