Collaborative Design Adventures in the Dominican Republic

Posted July 23, 2013 in Classes & Presentations

From July 20th to July 30th two concurrent classes, Collaborative Design Studio led by Gayle DeBruyn and Social Science led by Tony Baker, journeyed to the Dominican Republic. Triple Quest of Cascade Engineering produces Hydraid water filters, which are distributed by Good Samaritan Hospital. The businesses provided our class with an experience of a lifetime. Triple bottom line, base of the pyramid design, and complete cultural immersion took place, and is currently being carried out into our class of eight interdisciplinary students. Please follow our class's blog to be up to date on our progress/process in designing for improved quality of life.

Follow along as a KCAD Collaborative Deisgn class blogs about their travels in the Dominican Republic.
