You may have thought about the future of your education, but what about the future of your creativity? Portfolio Camp helps high school students discover what it means to be enrolled at KCAD, a place where collaboration, innovation, and community engagement will prepare you and your talent to create lasting, meaningful impact through a career in art and design.
Over the course of two weeks, become completely immersed in an artistic and cultural exploration that will change the way you think about your creative potential. Study both design drawing and fine art drawing. Dive into dynamic experiences like 3D printing, portfolio preparation, art theory, art journaling, research, open drawing, design challenges and 3-dimensional art. When you’re not working on art, you and your fellow campers will travel to Ambrose Design Camp or Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, or just kick back and have fun together at studio nights and social events.
Portfolio Camp 2017: July 24 - August 4, 2017
Students ages 16-18 are eligible. Students must submit a letter of recommendation from their art teacher with their application, along with a CD of digital images of five works of art, including two observational drawings. You will be notified by mail of acceptance within one week of receipt of your completed application.

A 50% deposit is due with your application to Portfolio Camp. Final payment is due one week after you receive your acceptance letter, and no later than one week before camp begins.
