Adult non-credit workshop with artist Barbara Minor, M.F.A., Jewelry and Metalsmithing, Indiana State University. Emphasis in this workshop will be on exploration and experimentation. Participants will use innovative enameling techniques to create exciting and unique enameled surfaces. Methods for creating surfaces will include: enamel shard mosaic, inlay techniques, embossed silver foil, punch through design, creating patterns with silver foil, and luster decal application. Students will work on a number of small pieces that will serve as future technical references. Beginning knowledge of metalsmithing and enameling techniques is helpful but not required.
