Grand Rapids Film Festival
April 9 - 13, 2014

The Grand Rapids Film Festival returns to town from April 9-13 and KCAD will again be a host for the event. Here’s what’s happening and how you can get involved:

- April 10, 10am-12pm, Woodbridge N. Ferris Building 221 - Panel Discussion: A panel of local filmmakers, industry professionals, and educators will lead a discussion about the film community in West Michigan.

- April 10, 2pm-4pm, Woodbridge N. Ferris Building 221 – Networking and Professional Development Event: Want to break into the local film industry? Come to this event to make the connections you need to do just that.

- April 10-13, various times, Woodbridge N. Ferris Building 217 and 221 - Production Workshop: Free and open to the public! This is your chance to get involved with producing a three minute short from conception to completion. Work with local professors and other participants to collaboratively draft a script and storyboard, then watch as area professional build a set, shoot your storyboard, and edit the footage into a finished short film that will be shown on the last day of the festival! - April 10, 7pm-9pm, The Pyramid Scheme – Fashion for Film Showcase: KCAD Fashion Studies juniors will be working with world renowned costume designer, Bernadine Vida, in developing costumes for this showcase based on the film Grease.
