Health & Sustainability: Brownbag Webinar

The AIA (American Institute of Architects) Grand Rapids is pleased to host an event on green health, January 23 at Kendall's Historic Federal Building. Access to healthy and local food is now a frequent topic of discussion. Opening remarks will be made by Mimi Fritz of the new Downtown Market and Dr. David Rosen, Kendall President. You will hear how this new building is transforming urban growth in Grand Rapids. After their opening remarks, a national webinar called Strategies for Growing Urban Agriculture will be broadcast. The speakers will discuss urban agriculture design guidelines, policy and community standards in cities and towns throughout the US and Canada. It is an excellent opportunity to hear the current state of the practices. No prior experience or background necessary.

Please bring your lunch and doors will open at 12:15pm. Open to the public. Light refreshments will be served and event will be over by 2:00pm.
