Oak Park Architecture Tour - Public Welcome
Travel to Oak Park, Illinois with other Wright enthusiasts for the 2014 All Wright House Walk, in honor of the 125th anniversary of Wright's home and studio. You will have the opportunity to tour eight private homes, all designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and not typically open to the public, as well as the Frank Lloyd Wright home and studio and Unity Temple. You will also receive an admission pass to Chicago's Robie House in Hyde Park, which can be used any time during 2014.
Ride the shuttle buses to each house, or walk, the choice is yours. Docents are available in all buildings and along the way, to provide historic interpretation. Comfortable walking shoes and a portable stool are recommended. Bring along your favorite Wright-themed books for some lively discussions on the bus back to Grand Rapids. The registration deadline for this tour is May 1.
