The Kendall Student Gallery provides KCAD students with a professional gallery experience. This involves writing a proposal and displaying your work. We encourage each student artist to explore the practice of exhibiting. Proposals must be collaborative â?? sorry, no solo shows. Shows are juried by a student selection committee.
The following are required to propose a show in the student gallery:
Proposal.
- What is the content of your work? Clearly describe the exhibition you are proposing. Be as descriptive as possible. Remember, the student jurors may not be familiar with your work, so be clear in your descriptions.
- What type of show will you have - a straightforward exhibition of your work or a thematic exhibition?
- Will you be creating an environment or using any special effects in your show? If you are planning a performance or installation piece, please give us details or sketch of the planned piece.
- Are your pieces for the wall, a pedestal, or the floor? If your exhibition will require any special equipment, please make that clear in the proposal. Special equipment would include any computers, projectors, sound equip, etc.
- Will it be the same work shown in your images?
Images of your work.
