Faculty Member Named Champion of Sustainability

Assistant Professor Gayle DeBruyn, Furniture Design and Design Studies, has been named a Champion of Sustainability by MiSustainable.com for her work in advocating the role the design profession plays in achieving success with the triple bottom line. Her story was published in the June 23 edition of MiBiz.

MiSustainable.com is an online community that helps facilitate the discussion of sustainability and the triple bottom line and what it means to business, organization or personal life. DeBryun also serves as chair of the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum, and teaches a class in sustainability as a part of Kendallā??s MBA Certificate in Design and Innovation Management. Her class was recently the subject of a blog post written for Influence West Michigan by Kelley Losey, director of Quest Sustainable Solutions.
