Front and Center: Alum Takes Her Artwork to the Streets in Pop-Up Art Competition

The Lansing Art Gallery in Lansing, Mich. recently chose Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) alumna Rosanne Coty (’90, BFA Graphic Design) as a winner in its Pop Up Art Competition.

Coty’s oil painting “Reconciling With Self” is one of 12 winning works currently being featured in a special edition newspaper distributed through city’s downtown area, as well as on the kiosks housing the newspapers. The original piece is on display and up for sale in the Lansing Art Gallery.

Coty also received a cash award, and had the opportunity to give a demonstration at the gallery, an extension of the competition’s mission to engage the Lansing community in the visual arts.
