Illustration Winners Exhibition in NYC

The Society of Illustrators Annual Student competition is a prestigious show juried by a panel of professional illusrators and art directors, who choose the most outstanding works created throughout the year. Pieces are accepted based on the quality of technique, concept and skill of medium used.

This year, just 194 pieces were accepted for the Exhibition, from 6,205 submissions. Thirty-three received financial awards. Kendall was represented by five pieces from four different artists: "Thai Trade on the Khlong Damnoen Saduak," by Lisa Ambrose, which also received a $1,000 award in memory of Harry Rosenbaum; "Cartoon History ‚?? The New World," by Travis Gillan; "Late Night in Lumbourge" and "Old Ginny‚??s Little Red Shoes," by Rebecca Green; and "The Victorian," by Matt Hansen.

These pieces will be on display at the Society of Illustrators gallery in New York City from May 5 ‚?? 29, 2010.
