The award-winning work of Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) Drawing Professor Deborah Rockman will be on display in a solo exhibition at the Muskegon Community College Overbrook Art Gallery from Sept. 26 through Oct. 28.
“Us and Them: Works by Deborah Rockman” features a selection of work in drawing, collage, mixed media, and digital media that explores social/cultural critique. The exhibition is being held in conjunction with the Muskegon Area Arts and Humanities Festival, which this year explores the theme of “Us and Them” through a variety of arts and culture events.
Rockman is a three-time winner of the Muskegon Museum of Art’s Regional Juried Art Exhibition, and was honored as one of Western Michigan University’s 100 Outstanding Art Alumni at the university’s Centennial Celebration. She has exhibited her work in numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout the Unites States and abroad in Canada and China, including three retrospective exhibitions held at KCAD, the Midland Museum of Art in Michigan, and Costal Carolina University in South Carolina.
