News Bites: Furniture Design Alum Named VP of North American Design for Theodore Alexander

Furniture Design alum Thor Taber (’08) has been appointed Vice President of North American Design for premium furniture manufacturer Theodore Alexander.

The company is renowned for its dedication to craftsmanship, exquisite finishes and industry leading design. Covering a diversity of periods and styles, its collections encompass thousands of unique lighting, home accents, case goods and upholstered furnishings. In his new position Taber will work closely with sales and marketing teams to design and develop product for the company’s substantial North American market.

“Thor is a young, versatile designer who has already proven his immense design skills and understanding of evolving market trends,” said Anthony Cox, Executive Vice President and Creative Director for Theodore Alexander. “He exhibits drive, vision and taste and we are pleased he has joined our outstanding design team.”

Taber comes to Theodore Alexander from Hickory Chair, where he served as a Senior Furniture Designer since 2008.
