News Bites: Master of Architecture Assistant Professor Explores Detroit’s Housing Legacy
Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) Assistant Professor Dr. Michael McCulloch, who teaches in the Master of Architecture program, was recently invited to be part of a panel discussion on the history of housing in Detroit at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

The event was part of a series highlighting the conditions that led to the major civil unrest that swept through Detroit in 1967. Dr. McCulloch, along with Dr. June Manning Thomas and George D. Gaines, Jr., explored Detroit’s legacy of housing segregation in the 20th century in terms of public policy, the built environment, and the African American experience.
