Professor and Students Plan SiTE:LAB
Paul Amenta, assistant professor and founder of SiTE:LAB will transform a dilapidated downtown Grand Rapids building into a site-specific, one-night art installation by Kendall College of Art and Design students.
SiTE:LAB is a group of local artists and art enthusiasts who create one-night, site-specific art installations. Amentaâ??s SiTE:LAB installation will take place on April 15, at 2 E. Fulton Street (the old Junior Achievement Building) in downtown Grand Rapids. Amenta and Kendall students will have complete use of the 25,000-square-foot abandoned building.
SiTE:LAB will take place in conjunction with "Art.Downtown," a citywide studio/gallery/shop hop featuring hundreds of all-local artists at multiple downtown locations.
