Professor to Adjudicate Photography Competition

Adam D. DeKraker, Assistant Professor of Photography, is the juror for the Newaygo County Council for the Arts 2011 Statewide Photography Competition.

DeKraker holds a MFA degree in Photography from Indiana University, Bloomington and a BFA degree in Fine Arts (Photography) from Western Michigan University. His work explores the evolutionary nature of intimate relationships and nonverbal communication through the printed image and artist book format, and has been featured in numerous regional, state and national exhibitions.

DeKraker was recently selected as a manuscript reviewer for the fifth edition of ‚??Exploring Color Photography‚?Ě (Robert Hirsch), is an active member of the Society for Photographic Education and serves as a MFA advisor to the Arts Institute of Boston at Lesley University. The exhibition runs from May 5 to May 28, 2011 in Fremont, Michigan.
