Youth & Adults Instructor Wins Film Award

Author John Guertin, who teaches writing for digital media and film for Youth & Adults Continuing Studies has won an award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. Guertin contributed to the script for the animated film, Blame Cupid Stupid, which won Best Animated Short. The short was based on Guertin‚??s poem, ‚??Blame Cupid, Stupid.‚?Ě

John has worked in animated film for many years, for Nelvana Studios, Atkinson Film Arts, and the Animation House. He is presently compiling an anthology of works for publication. John also served as a consultant for many aspects of the film. Waking Dream Productions also produced another one of his stories in 2008, called "A Christmas Carl,‚?Ě funded by Bravo Fact and aired on Canadian national television in 2009.
