Kasey McCargar began her career working in broadcast television as a news photographer and editor. Her work experience began in Spokane, Washington; then took her to Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; and finally Washington D.C., where she worked for CNN and Associated Press. Her photography was recognized by the National Press Photographers Association and her work on documentaries was recognized by the Associated Press and Sigma Delta Chi. She is currently a member of the Higher Education Television Authority (HETA), the Student Media Art Festival (SMart) planning board, and the Kent Career Technical Center advisory committee. At Kendall she represents the Digital Media Department on the faculty senate and is a member of both the scholarship committee and the visiting artists/guest lecturers committee.
