Dr. Cindy Todd is the Art Education Program Chair at Kendall College of Art & Design of FSU and Vice President for the National Art Education Association’s Western Region. Before becoming a professor, Cindy taught K-12 art in the Michigan public schools for over 14 years, teaching at all levels, elementary, middle and high school. Cindy, a former MAEA President, was the recipient of MAEA’s 2015 Teacher of the Year, the NAEA’s Student Chapter Sponsor Award of Excellence, and the Rochester Public School’s Secondary Teacher of the Year Awards. She has presented keynote addresses at many conferences including Minnesota, Arkansas, Missouri, and Ohio Art Education Associations, presented at many Michigan and NAEA Conventions and has provided professional development for teachers across the state of MI. She is currently a key contributor in the creation of the Grand Rapids Public Schools Museum School. The school has a design-thinking/place-based curriculum and is a proud winner of the 10 million dollar, XQ Super School Grant!
