Input Devices for Students focusing in Digital Imaging or 2D Animation

• Intuos Wacom Tablet 6” x 8” or 5.5” x 8.8” minimum active area (This is the medium size) ($309 thru AcademicSuperstore.com). This tablet is the industry leader and provides the most levels of sensitivity in terms of creating thick/thin and light/dark lines and strokes.

• Vistablet 12” x 10” ($100 thru AcademicSuperstore.com)(A bit large to Carry around).
• The Adesso and VisTablet are both very similar and are fine products (many students and faculty use them). They require batteries (the Wacoms do not) and have only one pen choice (Wacoms have serveral). They have more than adequate pen sensitivity (though not quite as much as the Wacoms). The functions keys will not work with MAC computers. However, though convenient, they are not needed, all of these fucntions keys will be on your laptop.
