Working together across disciplines: it’s the way life works and it’s how our students work, too. We emphasize interdisciplinary courses that bring students together in joint projects and courses to give them a better perspective on how artists, designers, scholars, and educators work in the professional world. Getting real-world experience is also why we promote internships, independent study, and foreign study in addition to regular coursework.
We value our faculty’s professional connections for all the same reasons. They give students access to trade shows, conferences, conventions, and competitions that build their exposure and smooth their transition to the working world.
Opportunities for collaborative, foreign, and other studies vary from year to year. Your academic advisor can tell you more about how to get involved.
