The following workshops are being offered for EDUCATORS during the month of August:
- Adobe Flash, August 11-12, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $125. For beginners to Flash. Instructor: John Johnson.
- Color Theory for Professionals, August 11-12, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $125, supplies additional. In-depth experience with color theory, discover aspects of color that you never knew existed. Includes tour of GRAM and walking tour of downtown art, as well as studio painting exercises. Instructor: Tom Post.
- Art Integration: Strategies for Incorporating Art into the Classroom, August 11-12, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $125, supplies additional. Hands-on experience with integrating visual art, music, theater, and movement into the teaching of science, math, and language art. Instructors: Bonnie Slayton and Mary Brinker.
- Figure Drawing, August 13-14, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $125, supplies additional. Studio instruction while drawing the figure using nude models. Instructor: Tom Post.
- Work on Play!, August 13-14, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $125, supplies additional. Connect to your creativity in this class using techniques that employ visual art, movement, drama, sounding, music, journaling, and dialogue. Instructor: Bonnie Slayton.
- Adobe Dreamweaver, August 18-19, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $125. For beginners to Dreamweaver. Instructor: John Johnson.
- Instructional Use of PowerPoint, August 18-19, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $125. Learn to create a Stand Alone Instructional Resource (StAIR). Prior knowledge of Microsoft Power Point is helpful, but not required. Instructor: Alan Pilkenton.
- Studio Lighting, August 20-21, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $125, supplies additional. In-depth instruction on studio lighting for those with a good working knowledge of manual camera function. For SLR digital or 35 mm manual camera users. Instructor: Eleanor Gatewood.
