Meet KCAD’s Continuing Studies Instructors.

Molly Alicki Corriveau, M.F.A., California College of the Arts, has been a professor of Illustration at Kendall for fourteen years. Her work has been exhibited extensively both regionally and nationally and she has illustrated one children's book.

T'Alyne, M.F.A., Arizona State University, was artist-in-residence at the Camac Centre D'Art in France, and exhibits her drawings and prints both locally and internationally.

Lisa Ambrose, B.F.A., in illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is currently pursuing her M.F.A. She has shown her work and won numerous awards at exhibitions nationwide.

Andrea Baier-Petiet, M.A., L.L.P., L.M.S.W., has been in the mental health field for over 30 years providing psychological assessment and counseling services. She is an artist and practices art therapy/expressive art with groups and individual clients.

Molly Bergman, B.A. in Art Education, Aquinas College, has worked as an art teacher for Northview Public Schools and Excel Charter Academy.

Catherine Buckley, B.F.A. in Sculpture, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a frequent instructor I the Continuing Studies program.

Dianne Carroll Burdick, B.F.A., Western Michigan University, has been a photographer for many publications, and maintains her own studio. She has participated in local and national exhibitions and has been the recipient of numerous awards.

Marie Couretas, B.F.A., in Art Education, Kendall College of Art and Design is an art instructor and frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

Drew Damron, is a student at Grand Valley State University and is a self-published comic artist.

Alyson Dells, B.F.A. in Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, won the Studio Excellence Award for Painting at Kendall.

Alexandra Dopp, is a student at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in Illustration.

Katherine Downie, B.A.E., Eastern Michigan University, is a graduate student at Kendall, with an emphasis in Painting. She is currently the graduate assistant for the Continuing Studies program.

Cang Du, is pursuing a B.F.A. in Digital Media/2D animation from Kendall. With interests in both animation and comics, he has interned for the comic book The Wireman.

Lisa DuBois, is a student at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in Digital Media.

Cody Eckert, B.F.A. in Digital Media/Motion Graphics, and Graphic Design, Kendall College of Art and Design, is an award winning designer and print production specialist.

Jacqueline Endres, B.F.A., University of Michigan, has taught art for Detroit Outreach.

InSoon Felch, M.F.A., Western Michigan University, is a freelance artist and web developer, and has shown her work internationally.

Elizabeth Gaines Zoutendyk, B.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design, has over ten years experience in both creating and teaching metal arts. With an extensive national and international exhibition record, she has most recently been awarded the C.R. Hill Award by the Michigan Silversmith’s Guild, and has been a lecturing artist at Interlochen Center for the Arts. She currently works as a goldsmith for a local fine-jewelry retailer, and runs the jewelry program at Grand Rapids Community College.

Karla Galvin, B.S., Western Michigan University, is an art educator who has recently completed student teaching in Rockford Public Schools.

Joanna Garza, B.F.A. in Digital Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance artist.

Eleanor Gatewood, M.F.A. in Photography, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance artist and frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

Emily Gerlach, M.F.A. in Photography, Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, is a freelance photographer, and frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

Taylor Greenfield, M.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design is a freelance artist and instructor at Kendall.

John Guertin, B.A. in English, University of Toronto, has extensive experience in animation for television and film, and produced a script A Christmas Carl in 2009. Most recently he wrote the rhymed narrative for the Waking Dream Production of "Blame Cupid Stupid", which was adapted for use as a five minute short. It was funded by Bravo Fact! Canada, and won Best of Show, Animation, at the 2011 Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Tatsuki Hakoyama, B.F.A. Central Michigan University, is a graduate student at Kendall, majoring in Painting.

Jesse Handrich, B.F.A., Digital Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance illustrator.

Jean Hanks is a web content strategist, content management specialist, and a freelance web producer. She has worked for Fushionary Media and The C2 Group.

Michael Harris, B.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design, worked at Kendall as an Admissions officer for three years, and is now a free-lance illustrator. His credits include over fourteen years of illustrating monthly for Grand Rapids Family Magazine, political cartoons for the Grand Rapids Business Journal, and monthly illustrations in Lakeland Boating. He is listed as a caricature artist with Kramer Entertainment, Funny Business, and Jimmy Whiteside's talent agencies, and teaches workshops at area schools.

Nancy Hart, M.F.A., in Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a full-time faculty member in the illustration department at Kendall College of Art and Design. She exhibits her work regionally.

Elizabeth Ivy Hawkins, M.F.A. in Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, has several years experience as both an artist and educator. Her paintings have been exhibited both regionally and nationally. During 2010-2011, her art was on display at the Michigan Governor's residence in Lansing.

Chris Hondorp, received a B.A. in Art and Elementary Education from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri and a M.A. from Calvin College. She has been teaching in public schools for over twenty years.

Elizabeth Hubler-Torrey, B.F.A., Painting with minor in Interactive Design from Kendall College of Art & Design, is a freelance graphic designer and current graduate student at Kendall. She has been included in various competitions and exhibitions including Art in Science Exhibition where she was awarded 3rd place from the Arts Industry Council of Battle Creek.

Judy Huyck has a certificate in Fashion Design from the School of Fashion Design in Boston, Massachusetts, and owns her own art gallery. She graduated from Aquinas College with a B.F.A. in Sculpture and Photography.

Beth Jacobson, M.F.A. in Painting, is a graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design and a frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

Gregory Nathan Johnson, M.F.A. in Painting, is a graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design, and is a freelance artist.

Jennifer Jones, is pursuing a B.F.A. in Drawing with a minor in Painting from Kendall. She has shown her work at numerous local and regional venues.

Kathleen Jones, B.F.A. in Fine Art, Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, exhibits her work regionally.

Kristopher Jones, M.F.A in Drawing, Kendall College of Art and Design, is currently an Admissions officer at Kendall where he has also taught Foundation courses. He exhibits his work internationally and is represented by LaFontsee Galleries in Grand Rapids.

William Jones, is a student at Kendall College of Art and Design pursuing a degree in Digital Media.

Megan Klco, B.F.A., Truman State University, is a graduate assistant for Kendall's Painting program, where she is also pursuing her M.F.A. in program.

Hallie LeBlanc B.F.A. in Fine Art, Ashland University, is the graduate assistant for Continuing Studies at Kendall and is pursuing an M.F.A. in Painting.

Ashlee Lambart is a graduate student at Kendall College of Art and Design, pursuing an M.F.A. in Photography.

Lydia Larson, M.F.A. in Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, has exhibited her work in numerous venues and is an adjunct instructor at Kendall.

Mary Leah Marshall, B.S., Art Education, Grand Valley State University, has been an art teacher at Lake Marion Elementary School in Lakeville, Minnesota, and at Muscarelle Museum of Art, College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia.

Kim Meyers-Baas, B.A., in Fine Arts from Loyola University Chicago, and teaching certificate and M.A.A.E. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, is an art teacher with Kentwood Public Schools.

William Mosqueda, B.F.A. in Digital Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance designer.

Salim Muhammad, B.F.A. in Digital Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance illustrator.

Tim Nielsen, M.P.A., Michigan State University, is a graphic designer and photographer. He has worked in graphic design and printing for over thirty years.

Kathryn Onasch, B.F.A. in Fine Art, Drawing, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance artist, and substitute teacher in the public school system.

Michael Pfleghaar, M.F.A., Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, is a professional fine artist with more than twenty years' experience managing a private studio/gallery. His work has been shown in numerous group and solo exhibitions including at the Grand Rapids Art Museum and Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. He has taught at UICA, Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, and Ox-Box Fine Arts Camp.

Tim Pospisil, B.F.A. in Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, was the Studio Excellence Award Winner for Illustration in 2004. He is employed as a graphic artist and illustrator, and designs screen print and embroidery for apparel in the resort and retail industry.

Corinne Roberts, B.F.A., Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program. She is author and illustrator of Imaginary Sea 1,2,3.

Case Silva B.F.A. in Digital Media, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance artist.

Melissa Sirk, M.F.A. in Painting, from Kendall College of Art and Design, shows her work at numerous local and regional venues.

Matthew Shoffner B.S. in Architecture, University of Michigan, is Project Manager for InterActive Studio in Grand Rapids. His key projects include Rackspace Corporate Headquarters and Kids Food Basket.

Bonnie Slayton, M.A. in Art Education, Central Michigan University, has taught art to all ages for over 30 years. She is retired as an elementary art teacher from Wyoming Public Schools, and exhibits her art work locally and regionally.

Casey Snyder, B.F.A., Ashland University, taught youth classes with the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and has studied in Italy. She is a graduate student at Kendall with an emphasis in Painting.

Abigail Southworth, B.F.A. in Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, works at the interactive advertising company Biggs | Gilmore, and has exhibited her work locally.

Lauren Stark, B.F.A. in Art Education, with a specialization in Ceramics, Michigan State University, has instructed community art classes in East Lansing, MI, and has been a student teacher in Kentwood and Grand Rapids Public Schools. She has participated in various art workshops and art study abroad courses in Europe.

Dana Toader, M.F.A. in Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance painter and frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program. She exhibits her work in numerous venues and is a freelance graphic designer.

Nicole Turner, B.A., Communication Arts and Graphic Design, University of Saint Francis, is a graduate student at Kendall College of Art and Design with an emphasis in Photography. She is a freelance photographer and graphic designer, and has been a summer camp art counselor at Cleveland State University.

Shane VanOosterhout, B.F.A. in Graphic Design, University of Michigan, teaches Digital Media at Kendall and is author of "The Passionate Gardener" blog.

Noelle Walters is a student at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in Digital Media and 3D Animation. She has been a swim instructor at Visser Family YMCA and Great Wolf Lodge, and is the Kendall web lab technician and assistant.

David White, M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing, Ohio University, is a freelance artist and exhibits his work locally and regionally. He is a frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

C.J. Zondervan, B.F.A., Interior Design, Kendall College of Art and Design, is N.C.I.D.Q. certified with specialized studies in historic preservation and restoration. Her interior design commissions have included The Grand Rapids Symphony Showhouse, The Governor's Summer Residence, Mackinac Island, and the Nantucket Preservation Trust. Her work has been featured in a number of national magazines.
