Meet Kendall’s Youth & Adults Instructors.

Jon Alderink is a professional cartoonist and illustrator, and has taught for the Holland Area Arts Council.

Tricia Alyne, M.F.A., Arizona State University, was artist-in-residence at the Camac Centre D'Art in France, and exhibits her drawings and prints both locally and internationally.

Andrea Baier-Petiet, M.A., L.L.P., L.M.S.W., has been in the mental health field for over 30 years providing psychological assessment and counseling services. She is an artist and practices art therapy/expressive art with groups and individual clients.

Brandon Belote is pursuing a B.F.A. in Drawing from Kendall College of Art and Design.

Catherine Buckley, B.F.A. in Sculpture, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a frequent instructor I the Continuing Studies program.

Geoff Burd, M.F.A., Central Michigan University, exhibits his work locally and regionally and is an instructor at Grand Valley State University.

James Carroll, B.F.A. Digital Media, Kendall College of Art and Design, works in the publishing industry.

Dianne Carroll Burdick, B.F.A., Western Michigan University, has been a photographer for many publications, and maintains her own studio. She has participated in local and national exhibitions and has been the recipient of numerous awards.

Marie Couretas, B.F.A. in Art Education, Kendall College of Art and Design, is an art instructor.

Katherine Downie, B.A.E., Eastern Michigan University, is a graduate student at Kendall, with an emphasis in Painting. She is currently the graduate assistant for the Continuing Studies program.

Lisa DuBois, is a student at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in Digital Media.

InSoon Felch, M.F.A., Western Michigan University, is a freelance artist and has shown her work internationally.

Elizabeth Gaines-Zoutendyk, B.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design, heads the Metals department at Grand Rapids Community College, and is a frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

JoAnna Garza, B.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance illustrator and frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

John Guertin, B.A. in English, University of Toronto, has extensive experience in animation for television and film, and produced a script ā??A Christmas Carlā? in 2009. Most recently he wrote the rhymed narrative for the Waking Dream Production of ā??Blame Cupid Stupidā?, which was adapted for use as a five minute short. It was funded by Bravo Fact! Canada, and won Best of Show, Animation, at the 2011 Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Carrie Hahn, B.F.A. in Art Education, Kendall College of Art and Design, is an art instructor.

Jesse Handrich, B.F.A. in Digital Media from Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance illustrator, and a frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

Jean Hanks is a web content strategist, content management specialist, and a freelance web producer. She has worked for Fushionary Media and The C2 Group.

Michael Harris, B.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance cartoonist and illustrator. In addition to teaching in the Continuing Studies program, he has led numerous drawing and cartooning workshops in public schools.

Elizabeth Ivy Hawkins, M.F.A. in Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, is an adjunct instructor in Kendall's Painting department. Her paintings have been exhibited both regionally and nationally. During 2010-2011, her art was on display at the Michigan Governor's residence in Lansing.

Elizabeth Hubler-Torrey, B.F.A., Painting with minor in Interactive Design from Kendall College of Art & Design, is a freelance graphic designer and current graduate student at Kendall. She has been included in various competitions and exhibitions including Art in Science Exhibition where she was awarded 3rd place from the Arts Industry Council of Battle Creek.

Judy Huyck has a certificate in Fashion Design from the School of Fashion Design in Boston, Massachusetts, and owns her own art gallery. She graduated from Aquinas College with a B.F.A. in Sculpture and Photography.

Gregory Nathan Johnson, B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, is a graduate student at Kendall.

Jaime Johnson, B.F.A. in Photography, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance photographer.

Jennifer Jones, is pursuing a B.F.A. in Drawing with a minor in Painting from Kendall. She has shown her work at numerous local and regional venues.

Tim Nielsen, M.P.A., Michigan State University, is a graphic designer and photographer. He has worked in graphic design and printing for over thirty years.

Maureen Nollette, M.F.A., Painting and Sculpture, City University of New York, Queens, was the Professional Development Leader at Studio in a School in New York, New York, where she taught art for children and adults.

Corinne Roberts, B.F.A., Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

Casey Snyder, B.F.A., Ashland University, taught youth classes with the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and is currently a graduate student at Kendall, with an emphasis in Painting.

Abigail Southworth, B.F.A. in Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, works at the interactive advertising company Biggs | Gilmore, and has exhibited her work locally.

Nicole Turner, B.A. in Communication Arts and Graphic Design, University of Saint Francis, is a graduate student at Kendall College of Art and Design with an emphasis in Photography.

C.J. VanDaff-Zondervan, B.F.A., Interior Design, Kendall College of Art and Design, is N.C.I.D.Q. certified with specialized studies in historic preservation and restoration. Her interior design commissions have included The Grand Rapids Symphony Showhouse, The Governor's Summer Residence, Mackinac Island, and the Nantucket Preservation Trust. Her work has been featured in a number of national magazines.
