Meet Kendall’s Youth & Adults Instructors.

Andrea Baier-Petiet, M.A., L.L.P., L.M.S.W., has been in the mental health field for over 30 years providing psychological assessment and counseling services. She is an artist and practices art therapy/expressive art with groups and individual clients.

Jenica Bock, B.A., Fashion Design, Illinois Institute of Art, is currently a student at Grand Valley State University, majoring in Education.

Geoff Burd, M.F.A., Central Michigan University, exhibits his work locally and regionally and is an instructor at Grand Valley State University.

Margo Burian, B.F.A., Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance illustrator.

James Carroll, is a student at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in Digital Media.

Dianne Carroll Burdick, B.F.A., Western Michigan University, has been a photographer for many publications, and maintains her own studio. She has participated in local and national exhibitions and has been the recipient of numerous awards.

Mike Dollar, B.S., Central Michigan University, teaches electronic music production at both Kendall College of Art and Design and Grand Rapids Community College. He owns Dream & Dream Recording Studios in Cedar Springs and co-produces the weekly television and radio show, “Heaven is My Home.”

InSoon Felch, M.F.A., Western Michigan University, is a freelance artist and has shown her work internationally.

Elizabeth Gaines, B.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design, heads the Metals department at Grand Rapids Community College, and is a frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

Arreko Gibbs, B.A., Central Michigan University, is a web developer.

Michael Harris, B.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance cartoonist and illustrator. In addition to teaching in the Continuing Studies program, he has led numerous drawing and cartooning workshops in public schools.

Carrie Hofmann-Cruce, B.A., University of Michigan, has been creating jewelry pieces for over fifteen years. She is a certified metals/clay instructor and teaches at Beadquest in Grand Rapids.

Judy Huyck has a certificate in Fashion Design from the School of Fashion Design in Boston, Massachusetts, and owns her own art gallery. She graduated from Aquinas College with a B.F.A. in Sculpture and Photography.

Cathi Isza, B.F.A., Indiana University, is a graduate student at Kendall College of Art and Design, with an emphasis in Painting. She has been an adjunct instructor at Southwestern Michigan College.

Katherine Johnson, B.S., Graphic Design and Illustration, Indiana Wesleyan University, is a graduate student at Kendall, with an emphasis in Painting.

Dru King, M.F.A., Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance artist.

Mary Leah Marshall, B.S., Art Education, Grand Valley State University, has been an art teacher at Lake Marion Elementary School in Lakeville, Minnesota, and at Muscarelle Museum of Art, College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia.

Gregg McChesney, M.F.A., has taught at Western Michigan University.

Linda McMurry, B.F.A., Metalsmithing, University of Illinois, has taught metalsmithing at Columbia College, Colorado State University, and Trowbridge-Crafts.

Tim Nielsen, M.P.A., Michigan State University, is a graphic designer and photographer. He has worked in graphic design and printing for over thirty years.

Maureen Nollette, M.F.A., Painting and Sculpture, City University of New York, Queens, was the Professional Development Leader at Studio in a School in New York, New York, where she taught art for children and adults.

Joanne Perko, B.F.A., Kendall College of Art and Design, has more than twenty years experience as an artist and graphic designer.

Molly Pettengill, M.F.A., Painting, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a freelance artist.

Corinne Roberts, B.F.A., Illustration, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a frequent instructor in the Continuing Studies program.

Dana Toader, B.A., Visual Communication, Otterbein College, is a graduate student at Kendall College of Art and Design, with an emphasis in Painting.

Jamin Rollin, B.F.A., Fine Art and B.S. in Art History, Kendall College of Art and Design, is a graduate student at Kendall, with an emphasis in Painting.

Gypsy Schindler, M.F.A., Eastern Michigan University, is an adjunct instructor at Kendall College of Art and Design.

Mike Sell, M.F.A., Photography, Kendall College of Art and Design, has been an instructor at Interlochen Art Camp, and is an adjunct instructor at Kendall.

Dianne Seymour, B.A., Siena Heights University, is a freelance fiber artist.

Case Silva is a student at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in 3D Digital Media.

C.J. VanDaff, B.F.A., Interior Design, Kendall College of Art and Design, is N.C.I.D.Q. certified with specialized studies in historic preservation and restoration. Her interior design commissions have included The Grand Rapids Symphony Showhouse, The Governor’s Summer Residence, Mackinac Island, and the Nantucket Preservation Trust. Her work has been featured in a number of national magazines.
