Learn to see the world from a whole new perspective--from hip level. Take digital photos with your camera of objects and places at hip level. Then use these photographs as references to create unusual or abstract acrylic paintings during the remainder of the classes Please bring your own digital camera to the first class. -
NEW! Up-Cycled Jewelry
Making your own beautiful jewelry can be fun and easy! This class explores different ways of making jewelry out of recycled paper. You will make beads for bracelets and necklaces out of magazines, and rings and pins out of construction paper. Jewelry will be finished with polyurethane gloss and ready to wear! -
NEW! Portrait Detectives
Grab your magnifying glass and a pencil as you search for clues in famous portraits! Each week you will explore a different well-known artist, and find out how they created portraits. Paint portraits of your own after learning about each artist. -
Junk Drawer Robots
It's time to go green! Learn how much fun recycling can be when you turn your old scraps of plastic, wire, screws, bolts and junk into awesome robot sculptures!

Capture your favorite pirate characters in adventurous activities in pen, ink, and pencil. Ahoy mates! -
Figure Drawing
Experiment with different approaches to drawing the human figure with a variety of media. Problems of composition and proportion will be explored, using clothed models.
