Work to expand your drawing skills and experience new media in a college setting. Students will work on drawing from observation each morning, Monday through Thursday, and will have their choice of elective in the afternoon. Electives are offered in figure drawing, painting, metals, sculpture and photography. Each elective is offered on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Fridays will be spent on portfolio preparation. Critiques with Portfolio Camp instructors and college faculty are scheduled regularly.
Portfolio Camp 2010
Camp will be held in your choice of two sessions.
- June 14-25, 2010, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- July 12-23, 2010, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Eligibility
Students ages 16-18 are eligible. Students must submit a letter of recommendation from their art teacher with their application. Registered students must bring a minimum of five drawing samples to the first day of class. Drawing studio placement will be determined on evidence of skill level.
Registration
Cost for Portfolio Camp is $595. Additional lab/supply fees will vary based on elective courses. Registration deadline is one week prior to the start of each camp: June 7 for Session I, and July 6 for Session II. To register call: 1 800 676.2787, ext. 2012. A 50% deposit will be due at the time of registration with the remaining balance due at the final registration deadline. VISA, MasterCard, and Discover credit or debit cards are the preferred method of payment.
Refunds
A full refund of tuition and fees will be issued for requests received in writing on or before the final registration deadline: June 7 for Session I, and July 6 for Session II. A $100 administrative fee will be charged for withdrawal requests submitted in writing after the registration deadline, but before class begins. A pro-rated refund will be issued for withdrawal requests submitted after camp begins, and a $100 administrative fee will be charged. There will be no refunds issued after the first full week of camp.
