Dual Enrollment Off-Campus

KCAD's Off-Campus High School Dual Enrollment program offers students the unique opportunity to enroll in classes offered by KCAD adjunct instructors in select high schools and art centers within the state of Michigan. Upon enrollment, students are expected to adhere to the KCAD calendar as it pertains to policies.

Application Process - Spring 2019 Semester

Please work with the KCAD High School Dual Enrollment Instructor in your area to complete the application process. All files will be collected and emailed to (PDF files) to kcaddual@ferris.edu by your counselor or instructor. The deadline is November 15, 2018. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students will not be admitted or registered for dual enrollment courses after the KCAD semester begins.

New Applicants – Complete steps 1-4.
Returning Students – Complete steps 1 and 2 ONLY.

  1. KCAD Online Application – Please complete the entire online application making sure select the correct term of entry and program (Dual Enrollment). Online Application.
  2. For instructions, review this document: DE_Online_Application_Instructions.pdf. Make note to select the correct semester you are applying for (Spring 2019).

  3. KCAD High School Dual Enrollment Approval Form – Select the form based on whether you attend a Public High School or a Nonpublic High School. This form needs to be filled out completely, making sure that all fields with an asterisk (*) are completed. Please make sure the form is signed by you, your parents, and your high school counselor. Note that only NEW Applicants need to complete the Authorization to Disclose Information section. Homeschool students working in partnership with a public school should select the Public School form.

  5. High School Transcript and Test Scores – Please provide KCAD with a current copy of your High School transcript, including test scores completed.
  6. Recommendation – All applicants to KCAD’s High School Dual Enrollment program must be recommended to the program by the KCAD High School Dual Enrollment Instructor. Please connect with them directly to discuss this requirement. Their signature on this form will fulfill the requirement.
