Dual Enrollment On-Campus

KCAD's On-Campus High School Dual Enrollment program offers students the unique opportunity to enroll in classes offered on KCAD's campus in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Interested students must be able to commute to the campus and upon enrollment, are expected to adhere to the KCAD calendar and KCAD policies.

Application Process - Spring 2019 Semester

New Applicants – Complete steps 1-4.
Returning Students – Complete steps 1 and 2 ONLY.

  1. KCAD Online Application – Please complete the entire online application making sure select the correct term of entry and program (Dual Enrollment). Online Application.
  2. For instructions, review this document: DE_Online_Application_Instructions.pdf. Make note to select the correct semester you are applying for (Spring 2019).

  3. KCAD High School Dual Enrollment Approval Form – Select the form based on whether you attend a Public High School or a Nonpublic High School. This form needs to be filled out completely, making sure that all fields with an asterisk (*) are completed. Please make sure the form is signed by you, your parents, and your high school counselor. Note that only NEW Applicants need to complete the Authorization to Disclose Information section. Homeschool students working in partnership with a public school should select the Public School form.

  5. High School Transcript and Test Scores – Please provide KCAD with a current copy of your High School transcript, including test scores completed.
  6. Schedule a Portfolio Review – All applicants to KCAD’s High School Dual Enrollment program must complete a Portfolio Review with a KCAD Admissions Counselor. Please email us at kcaddual@ferris.edu to schedule an appointment. The Admissions Counselor will also be able to help you look at course options and recommendations at this appointment.
