Indigenous Future Dreaming

September 11-December 7, 2018

Featuring work by KCAD students Evangeline Contreras, Hannah Contreras, Bryan Patrick Hutchinson, and Aaminah Shakur.

Indigenous (Native/First Nations) people are erased as “conquered people” from the past, but we are still here. We look back to the past, but we always look forward to the future for seven generations and beyond. We have always been here, and we are here to stay. We project ourselves into the future, planning for the success of our soon-to-come generations. With this exhibition, a few of us share with you the Indigenous Futures we have dreamed.

This exhibition is on display in the cases in the Decorative Arts Corridor, Woodbridge N. Ferris Building, 17 Pearl St NW.
